Author(s): Bruce A. Bradley
Year: 1991
Summary
Research excavations were renewed at Sand Canyon Pueblo (5MT765) in 1991 after a year's pause to write a comprehensive descriptive and interpretive report covering the results of excavations between 1984 and 1989. Excavations were conducted by the Crow Canyon Archaeological Center under the authority of United States Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management, Cultural Resource Use Pennit 39466. Partial financial support was supplied by the National Geographic Society, Grant #4544-91.
Field work began 15 May, 1991 and was completed by 15 September, 1991. Co-principal investigators are Bruce A. Bradley and William D. Lipe. Fieldwork was directed by Bruce A. Bradley and James Kleidon, with the assistance of field interns Nancy Turner and Evgenij Giria. Participants in Crow Canyon's research and education programs supplied much of the labor of excavation. Amaterra once again contributed substantially to the running and maintenance of the field camp, and to the building of trails.
