Author(s): Deborah K. Bauxar
Architects Anthony Crosby and Donald E. Hovland, Sr. of the Division of Historic Preservation, Denver Service Center, are currently in the process of developing a structural analysis for a Historic Structure report of the William Howard Taft National Historic Site in Cincinnati, Ohio. September 2-18, 1975 they visited the home in order to study the original structural system and state of repair. Of primary concern this trip was the extent and condition of the 1851 east addition foundation.
In compliance with Section 106 of the Historic Preservation Act of 1966 Archeologist Deborah K. Bauxar, also of the Division of Historic Preservation, Denver Service Center, aided in several test excavations September 5-8, 1975.
