Summary
This report describes the survey that was undertaken to evaluate the condition of the archaeological collections housed and curated by the Boston Landmarks Commission at the City Archaeology Laboratory located at 152 North Street, Boston, MA. It is limited to those collections acquired as a
result of state and federally funded transportation-related projects. While this does not include all collections at the BLC it does cover the bulk of the artifacts in storage.
Separate reports have been prepared for those collections housed at the Massachusetts Historical Commission and UMass Amherst.
