Summary
This report explains that the Casa Grande Archaeological Zone is more than just the Casa Grande Ruins National Monument and includes many surrounding areas. It discusses the sunrises and sunsets in relation to the summer and winter solistices and the vernal and autumnal equinoxes. It covers the time line of the enitre Hohokam existence including the Pioneer, Colonial, Sedentary and Classic periods. It relates similarities to other Mayan sites such as Chichen Itza and the similarities between the Great House of Casa Grande and the Caracol of Chichen Itza.
