Summary

In connection with archaeological mitigation for the Colowyo

Railroad in Moffat County, Colorado, pollen samples were taken from

five sites in an attempt to expand the database for paleo-environmental

interpretations in the area. Three of the sites were open sites, including

5MF338 (Upper Round Bottom Site), 5MF340 (Lower Round Bottom Site), and

5MF460 (Perseverance Site). Two rockshelters were also represented;

5MF281 (Empire Park Site) and 5MF435 (Duffy Shelter).
