POLLEN ANALYSIS AT TWO FREMONT SITES IN HUNTINGTON CANYON (42EM12109 AND 42EM2095), UTAH
Author(s): Linda J. Scott; PaleoResearch Institute
Year: 1987
Summary
Fifty-six pollen samples were analyzed from sites 42EH2109 and 42EM2095
in central Utah. These sites are located approximately 100 meters apart
along Highway 31 in Huntington Canyon. Located in the extreme northwestern
portion of Emery County, these sites both contain evidence of Fremont
occupation. Pollen analysis was undertaken to provide evidence of food
processing activities, and to delineate plants that were utilized by the
occupants of the sites.
