Summary
A charcoal sample from a hearth at Site 5BL3440 in northern Colorado was
examined to identify what types of wood were burned. A charred twig from the
hearth yielded an accelerator date of 2160 + 60 BP. The charcoal sample is part
of a study of the old-wood effect and its variation with fuelwood species.
