Summary

Samples representing groundstone washes and soil controls from the Magic Mountain site, 5JF223, were examined for their pollen content. Levels from which these groundstone were removed yielded radiocarbon ages between 1620 +60 BP and 2890 + 70 BP. Pollen analysis was intended to provide information concerning plants ground using these pieces of groundstone,

and therefore insight into subsistence practices of the occupants of the Magic Mountain site.
