Author(s): Linda Scott Cummings; Thomas E. Moutoux
Year: 1998
Summary
Two pollen samples were examined from a Late Archaic (2620 ± 60 BP) archaeological
site located approximately one mile north of Goblin Valley State park along the western central
edge of the San Rafael Desert. Lithic artifacts recovered at this site included a slab metate that
was washed to recover pollen evidence of plant processing. In addition, a modern ground
surface sample was examined as a control sample.
