Summary
Pollen and macrofloral analyses were undertaken on material from 42GR2780, a Middle
Archaic site that yielded a radiocarbon age of 4420 ± 50 BP. Three continuous cultural strata
were defined in the alcove that contained this site, although no cultural features were noted.
Pollen and macrofloral samples were collected from strata within the alcove to identify plants that
might have been exploited by occupants of this site.
