Author(s): Linda Scott Cummings; Kathryn Puseman; Thomas E. Moutoux; Laura Ruggiero
Year: 1998
Summary
Samples from Sites 42Sa23300 and 42Sa23301 in San Juan County, Utah, were
examined for pollen and macrofloral remains. Site 42Sa23300 consists of a basin-shaped fire
pit and associated midden deposits. Site 42Sa23301 yielded a single hearth. Pollen and
macrofloral analyses of hearth fill are used to provide information concerning plant resources that
may have been processed in these features. The midden deposits were sampled to identify
plants discarded during occupation.
