Summary
Three bulk soil samples from potential buried surfaces associated with flood deposits in an inset terrace along the West Walker River, California, were floated to recover organic fragments suitable for radiocarbon dating. Botanic components and detrital charcoal were identified, and potentially radiocarbon datable material was separated.
