Author(s): Kathryn Puseman; Linda Scott Cummings
Year: 1999
Summary
Samples from features at Site AZ BB:9:148 (ASM) in the northern portion of the Tucson
Basin in southern Arizona were examined for pollen and macrofloral remains. This site is
believed to have been occupied by the Hohokam during the Rincon Phase, A.D. 950-1150,
based on ceramic data. Excavations concentrated on six main areas at the site. Pollen and
macrofloral analyses are used to provide information concerning plant resources available to and
possibly utilized by the Hohokam occupants of the site.
