Summary
Rustler Rockshelter, situated in the Providence Mountains of the eastern Mojave Desert, was comprised of a midden against the south-facing cliff. In addition, numerous artifacts were present. Three pollen and phytolith samples were examined from the midden in an effort to define plants that were discarded by occupants of this shelter. In addition, a single mano was washed to recover pollen that might inform concerning plants ground using this tool.
