Summary
A single bulk soil sample from along the Rio Conejos in southern Colorado was floated
to recover organic fragments suitable for radiocarbon analysis. This sample was examined as
part of the Platoro Dam Paleoflood Reconnaissance Project. Botanic components and detrital
charcoal were identified, and potentially radiocarbon datable material was separated.
