Summary

A single bulk soil sample from a flood deposit on the John Day River near Twickenham,

north-central Oregon, was floated to recover organic fragments suitable for radiocarbon analysis.

Botanic components and detrital charcoal were identified, and potentially radiocarbon datable

material was separated.
