EXAMINATION OF BULK SOIL FOR RADIOCARBON DATABLE MATERIAL FROM THE GIBSON DAM SITE ON THE SUN RIVER, MONTANA
Author(s): Kathryn Puseman
Year: 2005
Summary
A single bulk soil sample from along the Sun River near Gibson Dam in central
Montana was floated to recover organic fragments suitable for radiocarbon analysis. This
sample was recovered from the Ab horizon at a depth of 15-20 cm. Botanic components and
detrital charcoal were identified, and potentially radiocarbon datable material was separated.
