Author(s): Linda Scott Cummings
Year: 2005
Summary
A single soil sample was collected from a test unit at the Skull Site 1 in Weathermen
Draw, south-central Montana. Weathermen Draw, owned by the U.S. Department of the
Interior, Bureau of Land Management, is characterized by numerous deep canyons extending
from a central ridge and plateau. Pollen analysis was conducted on this sample to establish a
record of vegetation associated with the bison skull for which this site was named.
