EXAMINATION OF BULK SOIL/DETRITAL CHARCOAL AND AMS RADIOCARBON ANALYSIS OF MATERIAL FROM ALONG THE PROVO AND WEBER RIVERS, UTAH
Author(s): Kathryn Puseman
Year: 2005
Summary
Three samples from along rivers in northern Utah were examined to recover organic
fragments suitable for radiocarbon analysis. These samples were recovered from the Deer
Creek Campground on the Provo River, as well as from the Diston and Richins Properties on
the Weber River. Botanic components and detrital charcoal were identified, and potentially
radiocarbon datable material was separated. Charcoal from one sample was selected for AMS
radiocarbon analysis.
