Summary
Groundstone and lithic tools from a multicomponent site 5AH3216 in Arapahoe County, Colorado were submitted for organic residue analysis. Samples were tested for organic residues using Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR). Organic residue analysis provides information concerning the compounds that were extracted from the groundstone and lithic tools and through matches with our reference library of raw and processed plants, inform concerning foods that might have been processed using these tools at the site.
