Finding Aid, Field School at Sites 12WB90 and 12WB120 1981-1984
Part of the Field School at Sites 12WB90 and 12WB120 1981-1984 project

Summary
This collection is referred to as "Field School at Sites 12WB90 and 12WB120 1981-1984.” This name is consistent throughout the finding aid, the file folders, and the box labels. The extent of this collection is four and a half (4.5) linear inches.
This collection consisted of a preliminary report, as well as administrative, background, field, analysis, and photographic records. All documents were found in very good condition and required very little cleaning and mending beyond the removal of staples and paperclips. Social security numbers were located within class list records, thus the appropriate protocol was taken to remove this personally identifiable information from scanned asset #1036-0007 and the physical documents.
Documents found within this collection of particular interest include a local newspaper dated June 28, 1983, which was encapsulated between sheets of Mylar. A paper by Gary Ellis entitled “Archaeology as a Tool,” was found among the collection, though it has not been determined how it is specifically associated with the investigation. Also found were a great deal of photographs, the majority of which were associated with the investigation at sites 12WB90 and 12WB120, but several are not directly related. Four photographs (asset numbers: 1036-0181 through 1036-0184), were found in the associated artifact project’s box number 12 within an envelope marked “12-Wb-90, 157F-275.”
In general, this particular project may be cross-referenced with the Field School at the Conner Mill Site (12G57) investigation. Additionally, it should be noted that although the project’s work spanned from 1981 to 1984, the inclusive dates of this collection’s records cover 1978 to 1999 due to older administrative records and repository notes from 1999. Also of importance is the fact that, although no final report is present, supplementary material from a previous investigation was used to gain information about the current project.
