Summary

Lackland AFB base planners are considering the potential need to develop and construct on two archeological sites located on the Lackland Training Annex, aka Medina Base, to support future mission requirements. The sites to be potentially impacted are Sites 41BX1104 and 41BX1099. These sites have been extensively evaluated and determined not to be eligible for listing on the NRHP. This letter of correspondence asks the Texas Historical Commission to review these sites and invites the State Historical Preservation Office to comment on the proposed action.

Attached to the letter is a map of the potentially impacted sites and their location on the Lackland Training Annex (Medina Base).
