Author(s): Mark R. Hackbarth
Year: 1992
Summary
Northland Research, Inc. (Northland) conducted a Class III archaeological survey of the proposed Salt River Project (SRP) Quail Substation expansion. Prior to the survey, an examination of site files maintained by the Arizona State Museum and the Arizona State Historic Preservation Office was conducted. No previously recorded sites were reported within two miles of the vicinity. The General Land Office maps, curated by the Phoenix office of the Bureau of Land Management, were examined prior to commencement of the fieldwork; no references to historic resources were noted. No archaeological remains were encountered by the survey, and Northland recommends that archaeological clearance be granted the proposed SRP Quail Substation expansion.
