Summary

This public notice is an application for a Department of the Army (DA) Permit, subject to Section 10 of the River and Harbor Act of 1899, to excavate approximately 24,500 cubic yards of material from the right bank of the East Fork White River, 243.0 miles above its mouth near Columbus, Bartholomew County, Indiana. Plans of the proposed work are attached to this notice. The purpose of the proposed excavation is to increase the carrying capacity of the river to compensate for the area of the floodplain lost as a result of the proposed construction of a sewage treatment plant on the opposite bank.
