Cultural Resources Survey of 1.07 Acres, Camp Bullis Training Site, Bexar County, Texas

Author(s): Ann M. Scott

Year: 2000

Summary

On 14 December 1999, personnel from Prewitt and Associates, Inc., performed an archeological survey of a 1.07-acre parcel of land located in Bexar County and owned by Camp Bullis Training Site, a subinstallation of Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, Texas. The parcel of land is part of a land sale. The selling of federal property requires an archeological survey in compliance with the requirements of Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, as amended through 1992 (NHPA) (PL. 89-665 et seq.). The parcel was examined during a pedestrian survey and was found to contain thin, disturbed soils and abundant modern trash. No archeological materials were encountered, and it is recommended that the sale of the acreage proceed as planned.
