Summary

The Texas Historical Commission has received and reviewed information from Fort Sam Houston on the demolition of Buildings 250 and 252, along with the construction of new barracks in the National Historic Landmark District. The Commission concurs with the determination of "no adverse effect" for the demolition of Building 250 and the building of the new barracks, but the Commission has given the Building 252 demolition an "adverse effect." This letter lists the Commission's concerns and recommendations for the Building 252 undertaking.
