A Cultural Resources Reconnaissance of the Island Creek Basin Logan County, West Virginia, Cultural Resources Reconnaissance of the Island Creek Basin 1979-1985

Summary

A search of the pertinent literature and records indicate that two potentially significant historic sites were located in the Island Creek Basin. Two archaeological sites were located adjacent to the project area in the town of Logan and one archaeological site was recorded near Omar. Given the nature and location of the project alternatives it was not expected that significant sites would be effected. A cultural resources survey was recommended once a specific project alternative was selected.
