Summary

This document is a report that presents the condition of sensitive and threatened sites examined during FY97, the second inspection of sites in that category. Included herein is a summary of the Scope of Work, a list of sensitive and threatened sites examined, and a brief discussion of methods specific to sensitive and threatened sites (Section 1.0); a summary of the condition of sensitive and threatened cultural resources (Section 2.0); recommendations for managing sensitive and threatened sites as well as recommendations for developing a form specifically for sites where the condition has been documented previously (Section 3.0); and a summary of the results of the sensitive and threatened monitoring program for FY97 (Section 4.0). A Cultural Resources Condition Report for each site is included in Appendix A. Color slides taken at each site are bound separately, as are aerial photographs of substantial erosion at selected sites.
