Summary

A Cultural Resources Management Plan (CRMP) was prepared for Adelphi Laboratory Center (ALC) by the Baltimore District. The information in this report is based on the 1993 CRMP and on the reports of several site-specific cultural investigations performed at ALC. The Proposed Child Development Center (Site 1) is a 2.4-acre site located north of the main (Powder Mill Road) entrance to the ALC. The site is a forested area and is bounded on the south by the main entrance, on the east by a forested buffer along the installation boundary, and on the west by Floral Drive. The Child Development Center will be accessed by Floral Drive. The area north of the proposed site consists of forested slopes oriented to the north towards Paint Branch Creek.
