Letter from the Environmental/Energy Conservation Branch, Requesting Environmental Remediation Report
Summary
Harry Diamond Laboratories (HDL) has requested from the Department of Army Materiel Development & Readiness Command (DARCOM) through special Headquarters Department of the Army funding, a project for the purpose of conducting a study to determine remedial measures needed to restore Blossom Point to its natural environmental condition. The study as requested is to provide recommendations to cleanse the site of the accumulation of unexploded test devices which remain in the soil as a result of years of drop testing such devices at Blossom Point. The final report shall, in addition to recommending means of accomplishment, include a detailed estimated cost statement for completion of the restoration of the test site. Included is a map of landfill locations on Blossom Point Field Test Facility.
