A Cultural Resources Magnetometer Survey of Proposed Borrow Area, Vicinity of Cape Canaveral, Brevard County, Florida
Summary
This report presents the results of an archival and literature search and a remote sensing survey in support of a proposed borrow area. Nine magnetic targets were identified during the investigation. While their individual signatures do not appear to represent potentially significant material the fact that they could be associated increases the possibility that they could be related with a wrecked vessel, a s clusters of magnetic anomalies are frequently indicative of a debris scatter associated. Three of the targets were recommended as potentially eligible for listing on the National Register of HIstoric Places.
