Identification of Human Skeletal remains from CA-SBA-207

Author(s): Susan Kuzminsky; Phillip L Walker

Year: 2008

Summary

This document is a report for the analysis of human remains collected from the archaeological site Ca-SBA-207. All skeletal material encountered during work at the site was collected, cleaned, and inventoried. The skeletal remains that might possibly be human were sent to the osteology laboratory of Phillip Walker at the University of California, Santa Barbara, for identification and analysis. The human skeletal remains, in conjunction with the archaeological context and material of the site, suggest that the remains are of ancient Native Americans. Dental remains suggest the presence of a child (possibly 7 – 8 years of age) and young adult (possibly in their early 20s) in the collected assemblage.
