Summary
This document is a Section 106 letter from the California State Historic Preservation Officer to Vandenberg Air Force Base for the Water and Wastewater Operations Center Construction project. The project consisted of the transfer of 1.64 acres of undeveloped land to American Water Works, Inc., under a 50 year lease. It also required the construction of 3,000 square foot building, along with associated parking lots, roads, and walkways. A 24,000 square foot equipment yard with security fencing was also needed. Ground disturbance to a maximum depth of 5 feet was anticipated.
