From the Aguila Mountains to the Crater Range: Cultural Resources Samples Survey of the North Tactical Range, Barry M. Goldwater Air Force Range, Southwestern Arizona

Summary

The intensive archaeological survey reported here was undertaken at the request of Luke Air Force Base (AFB) to provide data that can be used by both agencies in combination with the results of other studies in their efforts to carry out that mandate responsibly. Specifically, the aim of this study is to provide data that will augment the Cultural Resources Management Plan (CRMP) for the Gila Bend (eastern) segment of the Range (Blanchard 1992), and that will be used for the environmental impact statement being prepared by Luke AFB for the withdrawal of the Range for military use in the year 2001, as mandated by Public Law 99606.
