Summary

This report describes a Phase I Archaeological Survey conducted during August 2003 of four parcels totaling roughly 8.39 ha (21 ac) for the Safety Zone Tree Control project at Andrews Air Force Base. 313 shovel tests were excavated with 21 containing cultural material. None of the areas were considered eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic places and the Andrews Air Force Base Safety Zone Tree Removal Project will not have an affect on historic properties within the four parcels tested during this investigation.
