Author(s): J. Rodney Little
Year: 1999
Summary
Comments and response from the Maryland Division of Historical and Cultural Programs concerning a Phase II study examining nine archaeological sites to determine their eligibility for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). Six sites are located at Andrews Air Force Base in Prince George's County: 18PR443, 18PR444, 18PR445, 18PR446, 18PR447, and 18PR448. The remaining three sites are located at the Air Force's Davidsonville Transmitter Station in Anne Arundel County: 18AN958, 18AN959, and 18AN961.
The Maryland Division of Historical and Cultural Programs concurred with Air Force's appraisal of the sites, concluding that 18PR443, 18PR444, 18PR445, 18PR446, and 18PR448 are not eligible for inclusion to the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP), while recommending sites 18PR447 (Belle Chance, PG:77-14), 18AN958, 18AN959, and 18AN961 as eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP).
