Summary

This summary report details the results of the first Tribal Relations Site Visit coordinated for Cavalier Air Force Station (CAFS), Tribal Historic Preservation Officers (THPOs), and Historic Preservation Specialists held on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 in Cavalier, North Dakota. The goal of the site visit was to continue developing and maintaining government-to-government relationships with Native American Tribes that have ancestral cultural affiliation to CAFS. The site visit was planned following Tribal feedback received during the First North Dakota Air Force Tribal Relations Meeting held in Grand Forks, North Dakota, March 21–22, 2018. The purpose of this event was to continue Tribal relationship building in 2018 that would provide Tribal representatives with the opportunity to tour the base.
