Author(s): Jane L. Anderson

Year: 1994

Summary

The report represents completion of the archaeological survey of Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The pedestrian survey covered approximately 109 acres and recorded two sites and two isolated artifacts. The two sites, the remains of a homestead and the remains of a Soil Conservation Service erosion control project are not felt to have either enough integrity or informational potential to be considered worthy of nomination to the National Register of Historic Places. The two isolated finds include one projectile point and one ceramic tableware fragment dating to the 1930s. Neither of those artifacts is considered eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places.
