Author(s): Ross G. Hilman; William L. Tibesar

Year: 1984

Summary

An intensive cultural resource inventory was conducted on approximately 170 acres for proposed construction of new administrative facilities on the Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado Springs, Colorado. Two prehistoric isolated finds and a historic railroad grade were located within the areas inventoried. The isolated finds are not considered eligible for nomination to the National Register of Historic Places due to the lack of significant data which could be obtained through further investigation. Due to the lack of structural integrity and lack of associated materials, the segment of railroad grade in the study area is not considered eligible for nomination to the National Register of Historic Places.
