Summary

Preliminary cultural resources reconnaissance along the Peacekeeper Program's proposed RBl communication cable was conducted by URS-Berger in October 1984, and resulted in the discovery of ten historic archeological sites (48-G0-169/48-LA-443, 48-G0-219/48-LA-445, 48-G0-220/48-LA-537, 48-LA-236, 48-LA-528, 48-LA-535, 48-LA-536, 48-LA-538, 48-LA-539, and 48-LA-540), four prehistoric archeological sites (48-G0-218, 48-LA-530, 48-LA 531, and 48-LA-532), seven prehistoric isolated artifacts (PDA 199, PDA 201, PDA 202, PDA 209, PDA 210, PDA 211, and PDA 212), and numerous isolated historic observations. Reconnaissance was not conducted along approximately 1 kilometer of the 36-kilometer-long cable corridor because access was denied by landowners.
