Summary
This monograph documenting the history of the City Ditch (Site 48-LA-482) is the result of a Memorandum of Agreement between F .E. Warren Air Force Base and the Wyoming State Historic Preservation Officer, as part of a mitigation plan for potential adverse effects on an eligible property due to "cutting a channel" through the ditch (Memorandum of Agreement, September 29, 1999). The study was commissioned by F.E. Warren Air Force Base through Boaz-Allen and Hamilton, Inc., McLean, Virginia.
The study focuses on the history of the City Ditch and its relationship to the history of Cheyenne and Fort D.A. Russell (now F.E. Warren Air Force Base).
