Summary

On October 19, 2011, and January 25, 2012, personnel from Tyberg Archaeological Services, LLC (TAS) conducted an intensive cultural resources inventory for the proposed Francis E. Warren Air Force Base (FEW) Crow Creek Family Camp Expansion in Laramie County, Wyoming. The inventory addressed approximately 43 block acres for the location of the proposed camp expansion.

TAS recommends 48LA2047 as not eligible for nomination to the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) under any criteria. TAS concurs with the recommendation for 48LA279 as eligible for NRHP nomination. TAS recommends no further work for the sites at this time. However, any future development should avoid site 48LA279 or incorporate plans to preserve it in place or mitigate possible impacts to the site from construction or potential collecting by future visitors to the planned camp ground expansion. Provided these provisions are followed, TAS recommends cultural resource clearance for the project.
