Damage Assessment of Five Archaeological Sites. Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst. Burlington County, New Jersey

Summary

Versar’s assessment of sites 28BU526 and 28BU519/530 suggests that the sites did sustain damage from recreational activity, but that the overall eligibility status of the sites does not appear to have been affected. The damage assessment has shown that the damage to 28BU531 and 28BU533 was minimal (at the time of investigation), and the National Register eligibility of the sites has not been negatively affected by the disturbances. Versar’s National Register evaluation of 28BU539 recommended the site not eligible for listing.
