Historic Building Recordation, Building 200, Naval Air Engineering Station, Lakehurst, New Jersey [DRAFT]

Summary

The U.S. Navy contracted Louis Berger & Associates, Inc. to complete HABS/HAER Level III documentation for the proposed demolition of Building 200, a contributing element of the Lighter-Than-Air Historic District at Naval Air Engineering Station Lakehurst, Jackson and Manchester Townships and Lakehurst Borough, Ocean County, New Jersey. The study was completed in accordance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act and National Park Service guidelines. Building 200, the Administration Building, was a two-story, wood-frame, World War II building constructed in 1943. The draft documentation includes a historic report, an index to photographs of the facility and architectural drawings.
