This investigation represents only an initial phase in HAFB's historic preservation efforts for its World War II and Cold War legacy. It provides a prototype of management tools for the identification and treatment of additional historic properties within these historic contexts, and begins the process of recognition and preservation of HAFB's rich military history and its place in the heritage of the nation.
