Archeological Survey and Assessment of Damage to Archeological Sites Along the Boles Wells Field Perimeter Fence, Holloman Air Force Base, Otero County, New Mexico
Part of the Holloman Air Force Base Resources project
Year: 2005
Summary
The pedestrian inventory encountered six previously recorded sites (LAI 00170, LA103415, LAI04262, LA104272, LAI04271, and LA108111), one new site (LA144440), and 17 isolated occurrences (IOs). Two of the sites had been previously determined to be ineligible for inclusion on the NRHP and were not further investigated. None of the remaining five sites were found to have been significantly damaged by the mechanical blading, but flagging of the undisturbed portion is recommended on four sites to avoid further damage during construction of the proposed fence.
