Summary
This is an abstract from the "SAA 2025: Individual Abstracts" session, at the 90th annual meeting of the Society for American Archaeology.
Commercial archaeology - CRM - has been recognized as being a billion dollar industry in the United States for some years now. But archaeological services are just one small part of the wider architecture / engineering / construction and environment & sustainability consulting milieus. This paper will review the scale of CRM in the United States and around the world, and will then directly examine where CRM is being delivered by the global players in environment and sustainability consulting.
