Summary
Wooden Hoops, Accession AZRU-00057, Catalog #3600, #3582, #3576. Other No: FS 5260, FS 5259, and FS 5261(?) respectively. Analyzed by Laurie Webster, 2006. Two complete wooden rings, and one 2/3-complete wooden ring. Catalog #3600: Ends overlapped and bound crosswise with narrow yucca-leaf splints. Piece of 2S-Z yucca cordage tied to ring with overhand knot. Catalog #3582: Ends overlapped and bound crosswise with two places with 2S-Z yucca cordage. Catalog #3576: About 2/3 complete, two ends overlapped and bound crosswise with 2S-Z yucca cordage. Measurements: #3600=L 49.0, W 28.7 CM. #3582=L 54.4, W 36.1 CM. #3576= L 46.0, W 49.0 CM. Image: AZRU57-3600, 3582, and 3576 (inner to outer), oval wooden hoops. Recovered from Room 189, Upper Level, Aztec West Ruin. Artifact in collections since 1967, unknown donor.
