Millwood Plantation 1980

Summary

This collection is referred to as "Millwood Plantation 1980.” The name is consistent throughout the finding aid, the file folders, and the box labels. The extent of this collection is twenty and a half (20.5) linear inches.

The documents date from 1979 to 1987. The field work began in 1980, which explains the date in the collection name. The range of dates includes administrative documents and the final report. The collection was originally housed in acidic file folders in an acidic cardboard box with other collections from the Richard B. Russell Multiple Resource Area. The documents were generally in a discernible order; however, the photographic materials for the background and field records were in no discernible order. The original order of the documents was generally retained, but the documents were organized chronologically within the appropriate record series.

The digital materials in this collection were processed by the Veterans Curation Program (VCP), and include archival photographs, the finding aid, original investigation reports, oversized material spreadsheet, photographic material spreadsheet, and scanned asset key. Additional digital materials held by the VCP include, background reports, correspondence, disclosure agreements, disposition form, document folder listing, informant release form, initial data collection, interview transcripts, memorandums for record, magazine articles, maps, notes, report records, tape logs, transcript logs, and a transcript of contract. For additional information on these materials, refer to the finding aid.
