Archaeological Investigations at Fort Point, St. Inigoes Maryland (1992.033)
Summary
This project includes resources associated with investigations at Fort Point, St. Inigoes, Maryland conducted in 1982 ahead of construction planned by the Naval Electronic Systems Engineering Activity (NESEA). The proposed location would impact site 18ST325 and was in the general area of an unlocated 1638 St. Inigoes Fort. Systematic shovel tests identified two domestic sites dating from ca. 1825-1930 and ca. 1920-1950 respectively. Artifacts and associated records are curated at the Maryland Archaeological Conservation Laboratory on behalf of the Navy.
